Four Favorite Freezer Items

Growing up my mom never used the freezer, so in turn I sort of always thought of it as either a home for ice cream or a strange creepy dungeon for things that would never in fact be re-used.

That all changed a couple of years ago. I think it started with Trader Joe's making some phenomenal freezer items, then transitioned into my interst in reducing my food waste and saving leftovers for re-use.

I've since found a ton of items that I love to keep on hand in my freezer - besides for always mashing up older banans for smoothies nad leftover homemade almond milk for mornings when the fresh stuff isn't available, I'm sharing a few of my favorite frozen food brands/items.

  1. Trader Joe's Frozen Rice: It takes 3 minutes to cook and is perfectly portioned for either a large dish for one or a medium-sized dish for 2 people.
  2. Cappello's Fettuccini: I ADORE this stuff. It's made from almond flour and eggs and is arguably the best version of gluten free pasta I've tried. I also like the gnocchi.
  3. Mikey's Chocolate Chip Muffins: Also GF/Paleo these little, frozen muffins came in handy during pregnancy when I needed a quick snack - top them with peanut butter and a side of fruit, perfection.
  4. Cauliflower Crust Pizza: I always have a few of these in the fridge because you just never know when a pizza night might pop up. I really love the vegan one by Califlower - it's super delicious and has lots of flavors.
